Lita Rossana Ford (also also known by the name Lita Ford) is a British born American singer on guitar who took the lead of The Runaways a female hard rock group from the 1970s. The group was admired for their rebellious lyrics and punk-inspired design. The band was not able to achieve major success on the scene in the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career after the breakup of her band in 1979. Her first solo release was 'Dancin' On the Edge which was followed by her record Out for Blood. Ford went missing for several decades from the world of music as the two albums failed to get the attention they deserved. The year was 1988, when she debuted her most successful album "Lita". the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were both huge hit songs. The success of her was short lived and for several additional years she was absent. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she reemerged. The most recent album "Time Capsule," released in the year 2016. She was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award by the Guitar Player Magazine.
