Lita Rossana Ford Also known as Lita Ford, is an American guitar player and singer who was born in the UK. She was a lead guitarist in The Runaways, a hard-rock group comprised of girls in late 1970s. Their punk rock music and provocative lyrics helped them get not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. The band was not able to achieve major success within the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford embarked on a heavy-metal solo career when the group was disbanded in 1979. She began to take voice lessons followed by her first album "Out to Blood", followed by "Dancin" at the Edge. Ford vanished for some years from the music scene as the two albums failed to receive much attention. She returned with a bang with her smashing hit album 'Lita which was released in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both quickly became huge hit. Her success was unfortunately short lived and for several additional years she was absent. The release of Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. In 2016, her latest album'Time Capsule' was released.
