Lita Rossana Ford is born in Britain and was an American musician, singer, and music writer. In the late 70s she was a lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl band The Runaways. It wasn't possible for The Runaways to become a major hit in America but they gained a lot of attention in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford was able to enjoy a long and prosperous career as a solo performer after the band split from 1979. After taking vocal lessons she launched her debut solo album, called 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin"On The Edge'. Ford was absent from the scene for several years after the albums did not be a huge success. The year was 1988, when she released her hit album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly was a huge hit as was the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Her success was unfortunately brief and after a couple of additional years she was absent. Her re-emergence was with the release of "Black" which came out in 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years following. The most recent album "Time Capsule," released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
