Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics helped them get noticed within the world of rock. Although the band was not successful in The United States, it gained enormous popularity overseas. Ford's solo heavy metal career proved successful following the split of the band. She began taking voice classes followed by her first album "Out to Blood", followed by "Dancin" in the Edge. Ford went missing for several time from the scene following the albums' failure to draw any attention. In 1988, Ford returned to the scene with an amazing album titled "Lita. The single 'Kiss Me Deadly and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever' both became big success. But her fame was only short-lived and she disappeared in the world of music for many years. The album's release Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. The album she released most recently "Time Capsule," released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
