Lita Rossana Ford also known as Lita Ford, as she's popularly known as was an American born British guitarist and singer who led the female-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. It wasn't possible for The Runaways to become a major hit in America however, they enjoyed a great deal of popularity in other countries, especially Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career after the breakup from her band in 1979. After taking vocal classes, Ford launched her first single album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin at the Edge". The two albums didn't get much attention and Ford disappeared out of the scene for a few years. The singer returned with her smashing hit album , 'Lita' which came out in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. However, the success of her career was not last long and after a few years she disappeared. In 1995 she debuted "Black" and fifteen years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
