Lita Rossana Ford was a British-born American singer, guitarist and songwriter. In the latter part of the 70s, she played as the lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. The band was never able to the group to be popular in America, but they gained a lot of acclaim in other nations particularly Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career had a great success following the group break-up. After taking vocal lessons, Ford released her debut single album "Out for Blood" followed by "Dancin at the Edge". Both the albums did not have much success, and Ford just vanished out of the scene for a couple of years. She returned with a bang in 1988 with her wildly successful album 'Lita, which debuted in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her biggest hit songs. Unfortunately, her popularity was brief and she disappeared from the industry for many decades. The album 'Black' was released in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she reemerged. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
