Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who played lead guitar of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics made them popular in the rock world. The band did not enjoy any fans within The United States. However, their popularity grew overseas and especially in Japan. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
