Lita Rossana Ford She was born in Britain and was an American guitarist, vocalist and writer. The latter half of the 1970s she was the guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl band The Runaways. Though the group didn't achieve much success in America however they became extremely popular overseas. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a solo musician after the group broke up from 1979. After taking lessons in singing, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin on the Edge'. The two albums didn't receive much success and Ford disappeared out of the scene for several years. The smash hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in 1988. The hit single 'Kiss Me Deadly' as well as the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were both major success. However, her success was only short lived and for several additional years she was absent. Re-emerging with release of "Black" which came out in 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland", almost 15 years following. The most recent album 'Time Capsule was released in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
