Lita Rossana Ford (also also known as Lita Ford) is an British born American singer on guitar who took as the lead vocalist of The Runaways a female hard rock group from the 1970s. The group was admired for their rebellious songs and punk-rock style. The group was not able to make a significant impact in their home country of the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford's solo metal career was successful after the 1979 group break-up. After taking vocal lessons, Ford released her debut solo album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin at the Edge". Both albums failed to get much attention and Ford just vanished out of the scene for several years. The smash hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both quickly became huge hit. The success of her was short lived and for several more years, she disappeared. The release of Black in 1995 followed by a fifteen-year delay for the album 'Wicked Wonderland. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. She was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
